Course Requirements
Course Requirements
- On the first day, participate as patients
- On the last day, provide two patients that are: 18 years of age or older, calculus free, and have a moderate amount of plaque present
- Pass clinical and written exams
This two-day course provides comprehensive theory and clinical instruction, including the use of video, slide presentations, and hands-on clinical instruction. Upon completing this course and all other state requirements for the RDA, you may perform the Coronal Polish procedure.
Individuals who wish to take the R.D.A. exam must have 12 months of experience. Individuals must also show proof of completion of a California radiation safety course and coronal polish course before receiving their R.D.A. license.
